Eric Robins has been a trumpeter with Shen Yun Performing Arts since 2012, and was a soloist with the Shen Yun Symphony Orchestra. Eric earned his B.M. from the University of Illinois studying with Dr. Michael Ewald and Prof. Ronald Romm. Eric completed his M.M. from The New England Conservatory where he studied with Ben Wright. While pursuing an Artist Diploma from Rutgers University under the tutelage of David Krauss, Eric won the position of principal trumpet in the Daegu Symphony Orchestra (South Korea).

As an orchestral musician, Eric has performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Pops Orchestra, the Gardener Chamber Orchestra, Sinfonia da Camera, the Round Top Festival Orchestra, and the orchestra of the National Orchestra Institute. Eric has been a soloist with the Shen Yun Symphony Orchestra, the Daegu Symphony Orchestra, the Masan Symphony Orchestra, and A Far Cry Chamber Orchestra.

As a music educator, during each stage of his musical career, Eric has been dedicated to teaching trumpet lessons to all ages and abilities. More recently, Eric joined the music faculty at the Fei Tian College in upstate New York where he teaches music theory.
